A man has been arrested after a crossbow bolt was fired into the Oval cricket ground during a match.
The 35-year-old was hung on doubt of endeavored unfortunate substantial damage following the episode at the south London stadium on 31 August.
Observers watching Surrey's match with Middlesex were made a request to seek shelter and the players left the field.
Furnished police did a controlled departure of the ground and the amusement was canceled.
Det Con Dominic Landragin stated: "Despite the fact that no one was harmed, this was a heedless move made with no respect for the security and prosperity of the onlookers or the players.
"It is vital that we follow those mindful and I ask any individual who has film of the occurrence to connect as quickly as time permits."
The captured man has been discharged on police safeguard pending further enquiries.
The amusement finished in a draw, with John Simpson's unbeaten 88 helping Middlesex into a lead of 181 keeps running with three wickets close by when the players were removed the pitch.
