Monaco: Cristiano Ronaldo was named UEFA Player of the Season for 2016-2017 on Thursday after a battle which saw the Portuguese whiz help Real Madrid to the La Liga and Champions League twofold.
It was the third time that Ronaldo had won the honor which was introduced on the sidelines of the Champions League amass arrange draw.

Ronaldo won the UEFA grant in 2013-2014 and 2015-2016 and in the Champions League last season, where Real crushed Juventus 4-1 in the last, he completed as best scorer with 12 objectives.
Juventus goalkeeper and skipper Gianluigi Buffon was second in the voting in front of Messi.
