LAHORE: Pakistan's previous t20 captain Shahid Afridi on Tuesday declined to go to the Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) occasion booked on September 14 at Lahore.
Afridi communicated his refusal amid a telephone call with PCB Chairperson Najam Sethi.
The ostentatious all-rounder will be playing the Afghan Cricket League (ACL) from September 11. Afridi is the main Pakistani player marked to play the ACL.
Right now, Afridi is in the United Kingdom to play the Twenty20 Blast — speaking to Hampshire.
Beforehand, Afridi has turned down an offer for a goodbye from the board, refering to individual responsibilities. He was offered a goodbye occasion by Sethi amid a meeting in Dubai on April 23.
Afridi last played for Pakistan in 2016 amid the World T20 in India. Following Pakistan's initial exit from the competition, Afridi wanted for an appropriate goodbye coordinate, which he couldn't get.
